Taiwan Yes Houston Festival

TAIWAN YES FESTIVAL

The Taiwanese Association of America led by Mr.  Kevin Chou, President has held this event the past four years.  Taiwan Yes Houston Festival is modeled after Taiwanese Night Markets.  Parking and admission were free and the rest of the costs for food, games, etc. I found to all be quite reasonable. Fun day!

While I won’t tell you their ages…the gentleman in the green shirt did and I was blown away.  Do you see the lady in the white jacket? Well, she was the most beautiful soul ever…sometimes one doesn’t need to speak in order to convey feelings and her touch to my arm and certain gestures just made me adore this kind and lovely lady. There was just something VERY special about her!!

  1. I would absolutely love to attend this festival! I have a friend who lived in Taiwan for several years because of her husband’s job. She enjoyed the friendly people very much and is still in touch with many friends from there. We will try to come down for the festival next year because I very much want to try some of those crafts…especially the umbrellas! Wonderful photos…of course!

      1. I have never been to that part of the world, but my husband has. I taught at an elementary school in Arlington for nine years…it was a true windows on the world with children from many countries. I loved it! There was quite a few Vietnamese families in the area… the most wonderful and very sweet children. The parents expected the best from their children and always helped with homework & also helped in the classroom. Such bright children!
