I’m so blessed to have such a wonderful daughter and her equally fantastic hubby!!! We hadn’t had a chance to sit down to catch up lately, so they decided take me to a fabulous breakfast this past Saturday. We met up at Breakfast Brunch Cafe at 9955 Barker Cypress Road Suite 110, Cypress, TX 77433
The day was a bit gloomy and looked like rain but we got lucky and it passed us 🙂 . This is the exterior – hoping was good as the vibe inside. It’s in the relatively new “Boardwalk Towne Lake” complex which is pretty to walk around so thought I’d show you 🙂
I was about 15 minutes late – had to call to apologize as I saw a few of the “BP MS 150 Houston Tour” bike riders on their way from Houston to Austin and you know me…had to go back for a quick few snaps..my son-in-law and daughter both just laugh about me anymore and were very understanding – thanks!! They know I am a giant goofball!
My daughter has a way better cell phone for photos than me, so this is her photography 🙂 inside the restaurant – thanks for helping your old Ma 🙂
Can we say Yum! “The French Beignets with Salted Carmel” ($7), bottomless mimosa’s and coffee were all tastie – while we agreed the beignets weren’t like the New Orleans kind we are used to, they were good but perhaps slightly underdone – I liked the salted carmel (yummy), sauce the best (not sure if we’d get the beignets again but might). Note: I am a bad blogger…I forgot to ask my daughter to take a photo of our actual meal! But, I got the “Our Famous Chicken and Waffles” ($15), which was super good! Would definitely order it again! Our Waiter was a nice, friendly young man named Stephen…(I’d ask for him specifically next visit), as he was the bomb dot com! My daughter enjoyed her “Chorizo Omelette” ($12), which she liked because it “wasn’t greasy and the potatoes were amazing” and her hubby got “The P.I.G. Pastry”, ($10) which was like a “delicious croissant with a yummy sauce.” I would go back again to Breakfast Brunch Cafe.
Here is the outside of the Towne Lake Boardwalk
If you are one of the Towne Lake residence that connects to their lake system you can just boat on up to the boardwalk.
Some of the rest of the boardwalk area.
Sorry for the rather gloomy photos
I got a kick out of seeing this on the ground at the boardwalk
Haven’t been to this place but I liked the outdoor couches.
Oh, here is the reason I was slightly late… The The BP MS 150
I hate that I always forget about this event and missed out on photographing the more large groups of riders but BIG kuddos to them all!!! Go #9581!!!
I literally saw a few of these riders and hurried to grab my camera.
Not sure what a “Ride Marshall” does, but I liked the outfit 🙂
This man looked like this was effortless for him! (I’d be dead after a darn mile I’m sure!!)
How can ya not LOVE this rider!!! I adored his spirit!!!
The BP MS 150 is a two-day fundraising bike ride organized by the National MS Society, South Central Chapter. The ride is the largest event of its kind in North America, with 13,000 cyclists, 3,500 volunteers, and countless spectators along the route and at the finish line in Austin. The fundraising goal for the 2017 BP MS 150 is $16 million dollars to bring hope to many who are affected by multiple sclerosis
Thanks for stopping by! Hungry yet?? 🙂 I think I’ll stick to eating and let the pro’s do the bike riding! 🙂 Congrats to all the BP MS 150 riders!!!
