Mary Jo Peckham Park at 5597 Gardenia Lane, Katy, TX 77493 is a beautiful 32 acre park in the heart of Katy, Texas that was built in 1991 and designed to provide fun for children, families, elderly and those with disabilities in mind. Want to play 18 rounds of miniature golf? Either bring your own gear or stop by the community center and borrow a putter and ball from them – FREE! Please call for their hours and rules but pretty sure you still just need a Texas Driver’s License to borrow or use the facilities.

The park has paved, lighted jogging trails, covered picnic and bbq pavilions, a gazebo, tennis courts, basketball courts, baseball fields, grilling areas, picnic tables, benches and even has an indoor swimming pool and gym! Note: Be sure to call first regarding the pool and gym rules, availability, etc.
I was there early in the morning on Sunday so not too many people were up and at ’em yet.
The ground here is that soft, rubbery kind so if a child falls chances are they won’t be hurt.
Photo: Little Micah was too cute waiting to smile for the camera!
If I was a child, I would so love to be on this boat!
Not a bad miniature golf course – especially as it is FREE!
The Koi fish are near the mini golf area.
Each time I have visited the park I can’t help still being shocked at the amount of vultures there! Seems to be a hang out spot for them. Although it is rather odd to see still!
Normally, I wouldn’t post a photo of the restrooms but these one were really clean! Good job!!
Fishing is permitted here too and if you don’t have luck catching fish…why not feed the ducks!
Yes, I am nothing if not random and this beauty caught me eye!
No shortage of ducks at this park! The kids will love it!
As you can see, the fishing lake is pretty good-sized! No swimming in it though!!
You might even get lucky like me and see a baby waddling about the park!
Max didn’t much care for the vultures but did like to see the ducks and play with the kids! He loved little Micah too!
Max told me he is ready for his next great outdoor adventure! Stick around to see what he come up with next!
Thanks for visiting!
