Rockport, Texas -Tule Hike And Bike Trail (am I ever going to get home?!)

Yep, this is my crazy, distracted brain in action….the task today, after wedding planning with my niece, was to drive the 3 hours to get back home…seems simple enough right?! Nope…I see anything that looks like it should be further investigated and bam…off I go…am I ever going to make it home?! Not the way I tend to veer off on my mini adventures! ๐Ÿ™‚ย

I drove past this cool little park and spun back around to check it out… ย The 1.08 trail has 10 foot wide concrete paths that will take you through lots of beautiful Live Oak trees and of course you will see Tule Creek.

Though the park is relatively small, it was worth a stop!
Nice little shaded place to watch the birds
You know me and my love of any sort of bridge!! But this bridge will lead you to see some gorgeous trees and Shellcrete Square. Also, would be a great place to capture some great wildlife shots but there weren’t any out at the moment ๐Ÿ™ย
This is the Shellcrete Square…not a lot to it but still nice ๐Ÿ™‚ย
I love it when bricks like this are sold in order to supplement costs – good way to do it!

Nice place to sit by the trees and enjoy nature

Aren’t these trees gorgeous?!!

I’ll let you read all this information below…no sense in me reinventing the wheel ๐Ÿ™‚ but good information if you are planning to visit! I will definitely be revisiting Rockport and Aransas Pass, Texas!ย

Thumbs up on this beautiful park and it was super clean too! I love to see a park maintained so well as this one and without a bunch of litter! Kudos to the park caretakers!!

The question is…did I go back home after this?? What do you think? ๐Ÿ™‚ย

Thanks for always making time out of your busy day to stop by!! I appreciate each of you so much!

  1. It was sure worth the stop. The park is serene and beautiful.
But did you reach home? I think finally you did! But I am still unsure after the frequent stops of yours.
I do this too, divert just when I am suppose to reach home, making everyone wonder where the hell am I exactly!
But it is always fun, right?

    1. Nope, I still didn’t reach my house as anytime I see something that looks fun, I tend to think…well, I can just stop for a minute…the minute of course is NEVER a minute ๐Ÿ™‚
Ha…we should try a road trip together sometime….we both may never return though!! ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. We love hike and bike parks like this. Like you though we sometimes go along and forget that the hike back is just as long but a little more difficult because of fatigue. There is so much to see in your area. We really do need to get there some day.

    1. This is maybe 2 1/2-3 hrs from me but there’s a lot to do in the area so I wish I’d had more time to explore! Yes, just best not to come in the summer ๐Ÿ˜‚

      1. Isn’t this always the case that we run out of time just when we find the place. We’ve not been to Texas yet to explore but from what we are learning from you, it’s hot. We like hot though.

      2. Last week I think we had a heat advisory so best for indoor activities right now or water stuff.

    1. I never heard of middens either๐Ÿ˜‚. I sure wouldn’t mind living around there or in your neck of the woods either!

  3. Some of us can get diverted anywhere! From those information boards it looks like there are plenty more opportunities. ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ™‚ Have a great week!
