While browsing online, I came across Dick’s Classic Garage Car Museum in San Marcos, Texas. It looked so interesting that I reached out to the Museum Curator, Mr. Thom Fortney to learn more and arrange a visit. Mr. Fortney was so unbelievably kind and helpful – I can’t thank him enough!
I really was impressed to learn they also offer FREE school tours! Nice to see them doing that to benefit our youth!
Happy Hump Day! I took these photos (sorry, not too great and old), back in 2015 of the Houston Art Car Parade. This year’s parade is scheduled for April 8, 2017 from 2pm-4pm so hopefully I can make it to this year’s parade!
I love the creativity that the participants come up with! You are guaranteed to see lots of unique cars and people without a doubt!! Here’s a few samples from the last parade I went to with my beautiful daughter. If you’re in Houston that day, it’s well worth checking it out!! If you miss the parade you can always visit the Art Car Museum at 140 Heights Blvd.
Houston, Texas, 77007, USA (Phone: 1.713.861.5526) to at least see a few of the cars 🙂 .
Bring your camera!!!
Thanks for taking the time to visit – hope you enjoyed!
